High West A Midwinter Night’s Dram is a limited-release American rye whiskey built around High West’s Rendezvous Rye and finished in Port barrels. The Port influence adds rich plum and dried-fruit character to the rye’s vanilla, caramel, cinnamon and spice profile.
Food Pairing: Pairs well with roasted duck, glazed pork, aged cheeses, fig cookies, dried fruits, pecan pie and dark chocolate.
Tasting Notes: Rich, fruity and spicy with dark fruit, caramel, vanilla, cinnamon, toasted oak and warming rye spice.
Nose: Brandied cherries, fig jam, raisins, dried orange peel, baking spices and toasted French oak.
Palate: Quince, strawberry-rhubarb, vanilla caramel, molasses, toffee and leather.
Finish: Long and warming with dried fruit, rye spice, oak and lingering baking spices.
