Cutwater Barrel Rested Old Grove Small Batch Gin presents a unique and sophisticated twist on traditional gin, embodying the essence of innovation and craftsmanship. This exceptional spirit is the result of a meticulous aging process in charred oak barrels, a method that infuses the gin with a distinctive character and warmth not typically found in its clear counterparts. The choice to barrel-rest this small-batch gin reflects Cutwater's commitment to pushing the boundaries of distillation and aging techniques, offering a truly unique gin experience.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: The aroma of cinnamon is prominent, inviting a sense of warmth and spice from the very first encounter. This initial impression sets the stage for a complex and inviting olfactory experience.
- Palate: As the gin graces the palate, an earthy smokiness emerges, beautifully balanced with the warmth of the charred oak. The body of the gin carries these flavors forward, subtly weaving in the classic gin essence of juniper towards the finish.
- Finish: The finish brings a gentle reminder of the gin's roots with a hint of juniper, rounded out by the rich, warming character imparted by the barrel-resting process.
88 Proof (44% ABV)
